Even before you watch Vivian’s show, though, you’ll see that loyalty, pride and devotion play a huge role in the making of these delicious fruit confections and pies. Like any good Southern role model, the employees put care and love into each handmade pie before it goes into the oven and as it’s packaged for sale. No automated machines here! Employees who have worked at B&G for decades continue to roll the dough out by hand and scoop the filling individually into each carefully rolled piece before crimping, frying, wrapping and boxing the pies-all by hand! The recipe has stayed the same since B&G’s inception, and you’ll even see the loyalty as you rip open the nostalgic wrapper that’s placed with care on every one.
